What is TimaticWeb?
TimaticWeb is a web-based service used to determine traveler border control requirements. The service is based on Timatic and is used by the entire aviation industry to access personalized information based on the passengers destination, transit points, nationality, residence country, etc. TimaticWeb includes information on:
- Passport requirements and recommendations
- Visa requirements and recommendations
- Health requirements and recommendations
- Airport Tax to be paid by the traveler at either departure or arrival airport
- Customs regulations relating to import/export of goods and small pets by a passenger
- Currency regulations relating to import and export by a passenger
TimaticWeb can be used to provide passengers with this critical information as part of the on/off-line booking process, as well as during the check-in process to ensure travelers have the correct travel documentation.
What is the difference
between the information in Timatic, and the TIM Manual?
The information in TimaticWeb is exactly the same as that
contained in Timatic and the TIM Manual. This ensures that there
is consistency between the information provided to travelers at
the time of booking and when they are checked as part of the boarding
process.
Can I integrate the service into my own site?
Yes you can integrate TimaticWeb into your website using the TimaticWeb Co-branded solution, leading to improvement in both the quality and efficiency of your customer service activities. Both the input and response pages can be branded with your own corporate identity so your customers never need to leave your site!
Many of the worlds largest (and smallest) airlines and alliances have integrated TimaticWeb into their site, providing their customers with Passport, Visa and Health documentation at the time of booking. Not only does this mean serving their customers better, but airlines also reduce inadmissible fines by helping to ensure that passengers have correct travel documents.
How much does TimaticWeb cost?
Access to TimaticWeb Co-branding is € 499 per annum with the first 500 transactions included within this charge. If your usage commences during the year the, the fee and transactions will be pro-rated.
Additional transactions are charged on a sliding scale which is detailed in the order form/contract.
